The introduction of new housing benefit legislation in Northern Ireland could have a catastrophic effect for younger parents with shared access.
The piece of legislation has already been passed in England and would see a drastic reduction in housing benefit for people under 35, forcing them to enter into shared accomodation, rather than giving them a place of their own where they can bring a child.
