Paramedic attacked in Derry

A paramedic has been assaulted by a man he was trying to give medical assistance to in Derry.
The attack happened while the paramedic, along with a colleague, was responding to a call in Bank Place in Derry at around 1 o clock this morning.
The patient struck out at one of the medics then chased after him for a short distance.
The man fell over during the chase, as police arrived at the scene.
A PSNI spokesperson said a 25 year-old man was arrested and later released on bail pending further enquiries.
