A group of 30 TDs and Senators will undergo suicide first aid training.
The safeTALK training takes place for the first time at Leinster House TODAY and is being run by the Office for Suicide Prevention.
The Cross Party Group on Mental Health decided to undergo the training in response to the 486 deaths by suicide in Ireland last year.
