Major power outage in Derry

3,000 homes and businesses in Derry were left without power for a time this afternoon. Just after 12 noon, Northern Ireland Electricity says damage was caused to an underground electricity cable by a third party.
The areas affected included Steelstown, Shantallow and Gransha.
The fault was repaired and supplies have been restored.
