Donegal Deputy accuses the Government of lying to the public

Donegal South-West Deputy, Pearse Doherty has accused the Government of lying to the public.
The Sinn Fein Finance spokesperson said in the Dail yesterday evening that it was “absolute nonsense” that Ireland would face sixteen years of austerity if they were to receive a write-down on their debt.
Deputy Doherty said Greece have been offered a write-down of 50%, and they’re only facing ten years of austerity measures.
He said that by not even attempting to negotiate a write down debt on Ireland’s debt, the current Government had betrayed the Irish people:
