Taoiseach Enda Kenny and a number of other cabinet members will attend the plenary meeting of the North South Ministerial Council in Armagh this morning.
Among the items on the agenda will be funding for the A5 upgrade, after the Irish government confirmed last week it would no longer be meeting its funding commitments within the agreed timeline.
The issue was discussed a week ago on the fringes of the Presidential inauguration, but today is the first time it will be discussed in depth between the two adminstrations.
