Fund-raising drive launched to save Strabane mans life

A major fund-raising drive has been set up in a bid to save the life of a 31-year-old Strabane man who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer.
Joe McGarrigle was diagnosed with lung cancer last month and he has been given nine months to live with treatment.
However, his family has refused to give up hope and have already begun speaking to specialists in other countries – including Mexico, Australia, Switzerland and the United States.
This week the McGarrigle family, along with Joe’s many friends and the surrounding Strabane community launched ‘The Joe McGarrigle Staying Alive Fund’ which is hoped will raise enough money to send the 31-year-old overseas for treatment.
Joe’s brother Sean, says just because his brother has been diagnosed with terminal cancer, doesn’t mean he’s going to give up…….

Anyone who wants to donate can go on the ‘Joe McGarrigle Staying Alive Fund’ Facebook page.
