Gardai in Buncrana have appealed today for information on a car crash which left a Quigleys Point man dead.
Danny Doherty, a welder who was in his 60s, died in the crash around 4.30pm close to the Bayview Bar on the Redcastle to Moville Road..
His car was in collision with a 4×4 landrover.
There were five people in the 4×4. The driver of that vehicle suffered non life threatening injuries, his four passengers were uninjured.
The Moville to Redcastle Road has been closed pending a garda investigation.
The road is expected to remain closed until at least lunchtime.
