Two people are to be honoured as Donegal Person of the Year following the announcement of the award by the Donegal Association in Dublin last night.
For the first time, the award has been given to two people, distance swimmer Anne Marie Ward and New Zealand based businessman Hugh Green.
The outgoing holder of the honour is playwright Brian Friel.
