13 year-old Newtowncunningham boy charged with rioting in Derry

A 13 year old boy from Newtowncunningham has appeared at Derry Magistrates’ Court this morning, charged in connection with incidents on the Madamsbank Road in Derry last night.
The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons was charged with riotous behaviour and causing damage to a police land-rover.
He was bailed to his parents’ home in Newtowncunningham subject to a number of conditions, including that he does not enter Northern Ireland except for court hearings.
He’s due in court again next month.
