Donegal County Council has confirmed this week it has carried out seven non domestic water disconnections over the past number of weeks, with more taking place over the next three days.
The council says the campaign to disconnect supplies where no payment is received and no effort is made to engage with the Council will continue for the rest of this year. The Council is stressing that it is willing to engage with consumers who are having difficulty in paying.
At the start of the year, the council identified 200 customers who had not paid.
Finance Director Garry Martin says the vast majority of them have reached agreements with the council, and those that haven’t will be pursued…………
