Man sustains head injuries in Derry assault

Police in Derry are appealing for information following a serious assault in the Argyle Street area of the city this morning.
Shortly after 8am, it was reported that a 48 year old man was attacked in the street, sustaining head injuries. He was taken to hospital for treatement for his injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening.
Two men aged 25 and 34 were arrested a short time later, they remain in custody.
