GAA – Eunan’s Claim 13th Senior Crown

Three years after St. Eunan’s magic three in a row, The Letterkenny club were crowned Donegal Senior champions on Sunday and welcomed back the Dr. Maguire Cup to the O’Donnell Park.
Trailing Noamh Conaill by two points with 11 minutes left on the clock, Lee McMonagle netted the games only goal to put St. Eunan’s one point in front and set up a grand stand finish to the counties showpiece decider.
Man of the match Dara Gallagher would then point to level the game for Noamh Conaill while St. Eunan’s David Mc Ginley was sent off for striking.
The winning score for Eunan’s would come from a gifted 45 as Brendan Mc Dyer’s sideline kick back to the keeper went out of play.
Mark Mc Gowan then stepped up to steer the ball between the posts and give St. Eunan’s the title for the 13th time on a final scoreline of 1-7 to 0-9.
Tom Comack and Charlie Collins got reaction from the victorious Eunan’s camp where they spoke to John Haran, Rory Kavanagh, Captain Michael Martin and first of all Manager Eamon O’Boyle…
