Agrilculture Minister to delay regulations for farmers sharing commonage

The Agriculture Minister is to seek more consultation with farmers groups before he sends out guidelines to farmers sharing commonage.
Donegal has the second largest commonage ground in Ireland with one quarter of all arable land designated in this way.
It has been feared that the penalties for non-compliance with the proposed new rules may drive hundreds of farmers off the land in Donegal.
Donegal North-East Deputy, Joe McHugh said that the situation has to be made more workable for farmers…..
