Over 22,800 people in Donegal received Illness, Disability and Caring payments in Donegal last year.
The 2025 data was provided by the Department of Social Protection.
Of the 22,877 people receiving illness, disability and caring payments in Donegal in 2025, the majority (6,746) received Disability Allowance.
5,815 people received Carers’ Support Grant, while 4,682 got Carers’ Allowance.
1,807 people in the county were in receipt of Domiciliary Care Allowance.
Meanwhile, 1,591 got Illness Benefit and 1,514 got Invalidity Pension.
401 people received Disablement Benefit, 184 received Carer’s Benefit and 119 received Partial Capacity Benefit.
Finally, just 18 people received payments under the Injury Benefit.
