LYIT protest march highlights how student is forced to live in her car

Hundreds of LYIT students marched to Government Deputy Joe McHugh’s office in Letterkenny today protesting at grant delays and possible cuts to third-level education in the next week’s budget.
Students fear that many may be forced to drop out of college if grants get lower and fees increase.
Many students are still awaiting news on grants for this year due to a backlog with the new centralised SUSI system.
