Sinn Fein has published legislation for a wealth tax on assets worth over a million euro.
It wants the government to shift the burden of austerity away from low and middle income families, on to high earners.
And it says it will oppose a property tax- it was reported in the Irish Independent earlier this week that most homeowners will pay between 200 and 400 euro.
