Euro Car Parks has rejected any critisism over increased parking charges at Letterkenny General Hospital stating that it will not benefit financially from the move.
The company rejects that it makes large profits from its contract with the HSE and says that only the hospital will benefit from any increased charge.
It will now cost 3 euro to park at the hospital for four hours, visitors can use the short stay car park which costs 1.20 per hour.
Local Councillor Gerry McMonagle has slammed the increase claiming it will lead to the increased use of parking at housing estates and further inconvenience those residents who live near the hospital.
