SF survey finds 25% of Donegal crime victims don’t report it to gardai

Padraig MacLochlainnSinn Fein is launching the results of its survey on the impacts and attitudes to crime in North & East Donegal at a function in Letterkenny at the moment.
The survey of 500 people, which the party says was carried out in accordance with strict demographic and scientific guidelines, finds that over 30% of those surveyed said they had been victims of crime of anti-social behaviour, and of that number, over a quarter of them had not reported their experiences to gardai.
The party is presenting a copy of its findings to Chief Superintendent Terry Mc Ginn today, saying that it’s important that the good relationship between gardai and the community is supported and enhanced.
