Farmers in the Sperrin Mountain region of Tyrone and Derry have not been included in a financial aid package from Stormont.
It’s been announced today that the Department of Agriculture and Regional Development are issuing a £5m aid package for farmers who suffered animal losses during the Spring cold snap.
But the aid is only going towards farmers in Counties Antrim and Down.
West Tyrone MLA Joe Byrne said the decision by DARD not to include farmers from Tyrone and Derry is discriminatory….
