Former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher dies aged 87

The Taoiseach says he is saddened to hear of the death of the former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.
The 87 year old died peacefully this morning following a stoke.
In a statement Enda Kenny described Mrs Thatcher as a formidable political leader who had a significant impact on British, European and world politics.
Meanwhile, the British Prime Minister David Cameron says her death marks a “truly sad day for our country.”
Mrs Thatcher will not receive a formal state funeral but will have a Ceremonial service with military honours – the date of which has yet to be set.
