Inland Fisheries Ireland have said there were no fish killed in the Eany River in Donegal.
It was reported that hundreds of salmon and trout had been wiped out in the incident near Frosses.
But a spokesperson for Inland Fisheries Ballyshannon has told Highland Radio News that an Environmental Officer has investigated the matter, and there is no evidence of fish fatalities in the river which flows into Inver Bay.
