Wrong options cost Donegal Hurlers

Fingal retained the Division IIIA title with a hard-earned win over Donegal in a low-scoring final in Cavan on Saturday.
The north-Dublin side lead for most of the match despite conceding an 11th-minute goal to Ronan McDermott. That proved to be Donegal’s last score of the first half as Fingal edged into 0-6 to 1-1 half-time advantage.
A goal and a brace of points put Fingal in charge after the restart, but a red card opened the door for Donegal, who were boosted by the introduction of Ciarán Matthewson and Kevin Campbell.
Fingal held on however, to win by four 1-9 t0 1-5.
