There are fears that the Letterkenny Institute of Technology School of Tourism may be moved from Killybegs.
Deputy Thomas Pringle told the Dail this evening that a review of costs could signal the end of the delivery of Tourism courses in Killybegs, and that would have a serious impact on other courses and programmes there, particularly in adult education.
He’s organised a public meeting for Killybegs next Monday night to discuss the issue.
LYIT Director Paul Hannigan confirmed to Highland Radio News this evening that he intends going to that meeting.
He has confirmed that options for the future of the Killybegs campus are part of a wide ranging cost review, but stressed nothing is decided…………..
