Harps take points off the League leaders

For the second time this season, Finn Harps have beaten First Division title favourites and the league front runners  Longford Town.
On Saturday night the Donegal club had a brilliant 3-2 victory at the City Calling Stadium despite a very nervous finish.
By the 35th minute Harps lead 2-0 with goals from Sean McCarron and Kevin Mc Hugh, and with ten minutes left in the game it was 3-0 as a William Mc Donagh og added to Harps advantage.
Longford who piled on the pressure in the closing stages grabbed back two  late goals from Mark Salmon and Michael Isichei but Harps held on to take the points and record their first away victory of the season and hand a first home defeat of the campaign to Longford.
Harps move back into third spot and to within four points of the league leaders.
