Man shot six times in Dublin

Gardai in Dublin have launched an investigation after a man was shot in broad daylight in Glasnevin earlier.
The victim was on his way to work on the Ballyboggan Road when he was shot a number of times outside a gym.
He is being treated at the Mater Hospital where he is said to be in a serious but stable condition.
The area has been sealed off for a forensic examination.
This local woman says she is horrified by what happened.
“We thought it was a film that was going on, we didn’t know there was a shooting” she said.
“It’s a disgrace – this is a man in doing his job, now this is after happening. It’s terrible I think” she added.
