John Gallagher charged with making threats to kill

Double killer John Gallagher has appeared before Strabane Magistrates Court in connection with a charge of making threats to kill.
The 46 year old with an address at Grangewood, Strabane, appeared for a brief hearing yesterday. He faces two charges arising out of an incident on Monday last, May 13th.
He was charged with harassment and making threats to kill. The allegations are understood to be in relation to an altercation between him and his brother, Joseph Donal Gallagher.
The court was told that Gardai in Lifford have in their possession evidence which supports the version of events given by John Gallagher and not that of his brother.
Gallagher was released on continuing police bail and the case continues on May 23rd.
John Gallagher was found guilty but insane of murdering his ex-girlfriend, 18 year old Anne Gillespie and her mother 51 year old mother Annie, who were shot dead in Sligo in 1988.
