Donegal Journalist receives death threat from Loyalist paramilitaries

The National Union of Journalists has demanded that a threat against a Donegal journalist be withdrawn.
Two journalists in Northern Ireland had already received death threats from loyalist paramilitaries last week, while the County Donegal journalist working with the Sunday World has also received a threat.
An NUJ spokesperson said the union asked those responsible for the threats “to cease this intimidation and abuse.”
One journalist received a sympathy card with a cut-out of the Ulster Volunteer Force logo.
The other was sent a cut-out of a picture by-line with a target drawn on the forehead.
The UVF is one of Northern Ireland’s loyalist paramilitary groups.
