Update – Council passes motion calling for reopening of Dungloe beds

As the campaign to preserve and enhance services at Dungloe Community Hospital is stepped up, Donegal County Council has passed a unanimous motion calling for all beds at the hospital to be reopened.
At the weekend, a number of local politicians met to discuss the issue with hospital management and Junior Minister Dinny Mc Ginley. It’s now hoped that a meeting with Health Minister James Reilly can be arranged.
One of the participants in those discussions was Cllr Marie Terese Gallagher, who says Minister Reilly holds the key to restoring and enhancing services.
Cllr Gallagher, who moved today’s council motion, praised the unions at the hospital, who have come up with a formula to reopen five of the beds…………
