Gardai are investigating the vandalism of three mature trees in the Glencar park area which will now have to be replaced.
A Highland Radio listener says she witnessed a group of youths stripping the bark from the 12 year-old trees which the Town Gardener says cannot be saved.
Councillor Tom Crossan says it was an act of vandalism and is asking anyone who has information to contact gardai:
