Donegal County Council officials are examining how they can reduce the amount of cars that park on the counties beaches.
Thousands of people and hundreds of cars packed on to Rossnowlagh on Sunday – with the incoming tide approaching, most cars tried to leave at the same time leading to traffic chaos.
There was also a mountain of rubbish left behind, which council staff had to clear on Monday.
