Highland Radio has today appointed Shaun Doherty as Acting Managing Director.
Mr Doherty has 23 years experience in Highland Radio serving on the Board of Directors and Management Team as well as hosting Ireland’s most popular local daily current affairs show, The Shaun Doherty Show.
In a statement commenting on the appointment the Chairman of Highland Radio Gerry Rabbitt said that not only does Shaun bring his vast experience in local radio management to the role, he also has a finger on the pulse of the Donegal community.
In one of his first duties as Acting Managing Director, Shaun Doherty has appointed well known country singer Gary Gamble to join the successful daytime line up of DJs. Gary will be playing his mix of Irish & American Country music daily from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
Highland Radio has also announced the appointment of Oisín Kelly as the new Head of Sport.

June 12th 2013 – Letterkenny, Donegal: Highland Radio: Ireland’s number one local radio station is pleased to announce the appointment of Shaun Doherty as Acting Managing Director.

Oisín began with the station almost 20 years ago and was one of the youngest members of staff at the time. As a very popular sports presenter he will bring a renewed energy to the sports department and continue to deliver comprehensive coverage of all major sporting events across the North West.
