Donegal TDs in the Dail attack government cuts to SNA hours

charlieThe Tánaiste’s claiming the government’s commitment to special needs students cannot be doubted.
The National Council for Special Education has announced a 10 per cent cut in teaching hours for children with special needs from September because of an increase in demand.
It means students with special needs will have 15 minutes less teaching time.
Speaking in the Dail, Eamon Gilmore said there are no cuts, but changing how the resource is best used for those who most need it, is sensible:


But speaking in the Dail this morning, two Donegal Deputies slammed the Tanaiste’ claims’s.
Fianna Fail TD Charlie McConalogue said they Tanaiste could not deny that the Government were bringing in anything but a cut.
While Sinn Fein Deputy Padraig MacLochlain said Eamon Gilmore was trying to defend the indefensible:
