The auction of the Bay View Hotel in Killybegs didn’t go ahead today after protesters entered and disrupted a property auction at the Shelbourne Hotel.
The auction by Allsop Space was due to start at 10am but has been cancelled until further notice.
The Bayview Hotel and leisure complex in Killybegs, with a reserve of 400 thousand euro, was one of forty commercial properties out of a total of 121 lots which were set to go under the hammer
A Long Leasehold Ground Floor Two Bedroom Apartment on the lower main street of Letterkenny was also to be included in the auction – it has a reserve of 17,500 euro.
