Over 2.5 million euro is to be invested in the seafood sector in Donegal, the bulk of the money from the private sector backed by government funding of 735,000 euro.
The investment is part of a national package to be announced this afternoon by Marine Minister Simon Coveney, with a projected total of 1,200 new jobs anticipated across the country.
It’s not clear yet how many of those will be created in Donegal.
