Ballybofey has the highest proportion of vacant commercial premises in the country, according to figures published this morning by property analysts GeoDirectory and DKM Economic Consultants.
28.2% of all commercial premises are vacant in Ballybofey, compared to a national average of 12.3%
The figure for Donegal as a whole is slightly above the national average at 13%.
Letterkenny also has a relatively high vacancy level with 20.2% of ther available premises currently empty.
In Buncrana, the figure is 15.9%, in Donegal Town it is 12.5% and in Bundoran, the figure is 9.9%.
