A Donegal South West Deputy is in talks to set up a new political movement.
Independent TD Thomas Pringle and a number of other Independent Deputies and former Labour party members have been holding talks over the past few months about the idea.
He says it wouldnt be a new political party, but a political movement, which will be aimed towards building an alternative to the current political party system.
Speaking to Highland Radio News, Deputy Pringle says currently politicians in this country are tied to their party because of the whip system, and that needs to change:
