Donegal beat Fermangh in challenge game

Donegal GAA CrestA new look Donegal side got their new season off to a winning start last night when they defeated Fermanagh in a challenge game played under the lights in Convoy.
This was Fermanagh’s second outing under their new manager, Pete McGrath – but the visitors were far from full strength and Donegal ran out comfortable winners by 5-15 to Fermanagh’s 1-10.
This can be considered a good work-out for Donegal as Jim McGuinness and his new back-room team fielded a pretty experienced starting 15 which included Karl Lacey in defence.
Their top scorers on the night were Colm McFadden with 1-5, Darach O’Connor with 1-2 while Dermot Molloy and Odhran McNiallis scored 1-1 each.
