Donegal has the highest level of cross border shopping

People living in border counties are more likely to travel North for pre-Christmas shopping.
That’s according to a new survey carried out by the AA, which shows 24 per cent of motorists have planned a trip to Northern Ireland to do some shopping during the festive season.
Those living in Donegal rate highest – with almost 40 per-cent of those polled saying they would travel across the border to shop.
People in Cavan, Louth, Monaghan and Leitrim also said they would be likely to travel.
