Northern parties fail to agree on Haass proposals

Richard HaassThe Tánaiste and Northern Ireland Secretary have expressed their disappointment following the failure to reach agreement during talks in the North over night.
It comes after all-night negotiations to resolve outstanding peace process issues in Northern Ireland failed to produce an agreement.
The 5 main parties have been trying to reach a deal concerning the past, parades and flags. And, this morning, the talks chairman  urged all parties to implement initiatives where there is agreement.
The Northern Ireland Secretary says it’s disappointing that agreement was not reached but, Theresa Villiers says this should not be seen as the end of the road in seeking to find a way forward.
While, the Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore has expressed his disappointment saying that its’ not a step back but a step not yet taken’.
Dr. Haass has urged the parties to endorse the text of final proposals:
