Council could collapse as FF and SF promise to vote against Budget

Ciaran BroganIt seems inevitable that Donegal County Council will collapse at some point this evening.
Cllrs have been meeting for a third day and a third night now, and an agreement has still not been reached.
The Fianna Fail and Sinn Fein parties have confirmed to Highland Radio News  that they will vote against the budget, which would be enough numbers for the Council to collapse.
This means Environment Minister Phil Hogan will have to appoint a civil servant to put together Donegal County Councils budget.
Fianna Fail party whip Ciaran Brogan said his party will vote no and allow the Council to collapse:


Sinn Fein has said it is voting against the Budget.
Party Whip Mick Quinn says they have no choice but to do so:
