A new Local Area Hackney licence scheme has been introduced, with North West MEP Jim Higgins saying this could be an important response to tackling rural isolation in Donegal.
The pilot project, which is supported by the EU and coordinated by the National Transport Authority will allow low cost entry into the hackney sector in approved areas.
