Inishowen’s Damien Faulkner will this weekend compete in the inaugural race in America’s all-new IMSA Sportscar Championship.
The Rolex 24 hour which starts on Saturday at Daytona Beach in Florida is the first of eleven races in the new series in the US and Canada.
Faulkner will drive a Porsche and compete with the GB Autosports team along Patrick Huisman and Bob Faieta.
The Moville man who is the only Irish driver in the championship spoke to Oisin Kelly on Friday ahead of the race.
The race will be live on Motors Tv from 7pm on Saturday evening.
