A weather warning has been issued for the Northwest for today with severe gusts and heavy rain.
The warning comes after a similar warning from Donegal County Council on Friday.
Met Eireann forecster Harim Loach says the storm system will return Sunday morning, and coastal areas will be especially effected by damaging gusts:
Meanwhile Gardaí say driving conditions today are “treacherous” and officers have already dealt with a traffic collision this morning outside Letterkenny.
