The Minister for Defence has been asked re-investigate the case of a Donegal soldier who was shot dead in Lebanon.
In 1981 Private Hugh Doherty was shot in the back when manning an observation post overlooking Palestinian controlled territory while serving with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon.
His colleague, Private Kevin Joyce from the Aran Islands, disappeared and has never been found.
