Almost €20 million raised through NPPR in Donegal since 2009

Almost 20 million euro has been raised in Donegal through the Non-Principal Private Residence charge since it came into effect in 2009.
According to the Local Government Management Agency, the total amount processed for the NPPR for Donegal up to 8.30 this morning is €19,443,320. Nationally, the figure is 443.2 million.
People in arrears could be in line for harsh penalties, after the deadline for an amnesty expired last night, with the agency saying nearly 10 million euro was collected nationally in the four days up to midnight.
