Irish Water has been accused of treating the people of Donegal with contempt by refusing numerous requests to meet with Donegal County Councillors.
Councillor Marie Therese Gallagher says local representatives are keen to meet with Irish Water to discuss a number of issues effecting the county.
She says their refusal to do so is all the more shocking given that they were given Donegal’s multimillion euro water infrastructure that was paid for by the people of the county.
Councillor Gallagher says 8 regional meetings planned by Irish Water for local representatives will not allow individual issues be raised and could cost tens of thousands of euro:
