Mother of Mary Boyle says arrest of 64-year-old man gives her ‘renewed hope’

maryboyleThe mother of Mary Boyle has said that the arrest of a man in relation to her daughters disappearance today gives her renewed hope.
A 64 year old was detained in Mullingar Co. Westmeath this morning for questioning about the alleged kidnap of Mary Boyle.
The 6 year old disappeared while visiting her grandparents home in Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal in 1977.
The inquiry into her presumed abduction was revived as part of a ‘cold case’ review in 2011.
Speaking to Highland Radio News, Marys mother, Ann Boyle says hopefully she will find out what happened her daughter before she dies:

Meanwhile, the man in custody is being held at Mullingar Garda Station in Co Westmeath – where he can be questioned for up to 24 hours – excluding rest periods.
Kieran Kenny – the Assistant Commissioner for the Northern Region – says the arrest follows a second review of the case:
