Met Eireann says high winds will be slow to ease across the country today, after a night of strong gusts and gales. An Orange Weather Alert remains in place in the North West until 2 o’clock.
Motorists are being urged to take care as a lot of debris has been left on roads around the country.
Intending passengers for flights or ferry services are being advised to check with their carriers as some schedules have also been affected.
Meteorologist with Met Eireann Jean Byrne has been monitoring wind speeds around the country, and says the strongest gusts were recorded in Donegal……….
