A Donegal County Cllr has claimed that council housing tenants details will be handed over to Irish Water by the Council.
Irish Water has requested names and addresses of tenants, but to date Donegal County Council has not passed that information on.
But it’s being claimed that the council will be compelled to provide information eventually.
Cllr Michael Cholm Mac Giolla Easpuig says this is an invasion of privacy:
But Sinn Fein Cllr Jack Murray has said Council Management have categorically denied that any personal information will be handed over to Irish Water.
Cllr Murray says Cllr Mac Gioalla Easpuig has jumped the gun and is scaremongering….
